Job summary

Perkins in Ottery St Mary is seeking a Sales Manager to support farmers across West, Mid and North Devon, building lasting relationships and driving sales.

You will maintain and expand the customer base, ensuring farmers have the products and advice they need to thrive, with a base salary of £34k-£42k plus uncapped commission. Opportunity for growth, ongoing training and a friendly, family-run environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and account management with regional responsibilities.
• Knowledge of agricultural science or farm consultancy is beneficial.
• Understanding of agri-supply chains and farm product distribution is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with dairy, beef and sheep farmers in your territory.
• Promote and sell our range of animal health products and mineral supplements.
• Provide expert advice and support, addressing customer concerns and guiding to the best solutions.
• Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities in your area.
• Stay informed on industry trends and maintain product knowledge.
• Represent Perkins at meetings, training sessions and industry events (occasional outside hours).
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently, going above and beyond.
