Job summary

Perkins Ltd is seeking a Sales Manager to support farmers across West, Mid, and North Devon. The role focuses on expanding our farming customer base, selling animal health and mineral products, and delivering expert advice to farmers in a dynamic, family-run business.

You will manage a 40-hour week (with possible part-time option) and travel within your territory to meet customers, join industry events, and train on product lines.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural sales to farmers and farm suppliers.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region and manage a sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with dairy, beef and sheep farmers in your territory.
• Promote and sell our diverse range of products, including animal health products and mineral supplements.
• Provide expert advice and support, addressing customer concerns and guiding them to the best solutions.
• Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities in your area.
• Stay informed on industry trends and maintain comprehensive product knowledge.
• Represent Perkins at business meetings, training sessions and industry events (occasionally outside of regular hours).
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently going above and beyond
