Job summary

White Oak, FCA authorised and regulated, is embedding agentic AI across its Azure data platform to enhance credit underwriting and NLQ-driven data insights. The AI Engineer will design, build and operate AI agents and reusable skills, aligning with governance, with production handoffs to IT and external partners.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building AI agents or LLM-based solutions in commercial projects.
• Strong prompts and context engineering with testing and validation.
• Understanding semantic layers and business definitions for data grounding (e.g., Power BI/Tabular).
• Good SQL and experience with a cloud data platform (Azure preferred).
• Experience with APIs (REST/JSON) and scripting (Python preferred).
• Knowledge of AI governance, explainability, auditability and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy AI agents and reusable agent skills via SnapLogic/Claude Code.
• Design and maintain prompts, system instructions and context with clear acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with data team on semantic models, glossary and metric definitions for NLQ and agents.
• Connect agents to data and systems through APIs and data platforms like Power BI and Azure warehouse.
• Translate requirements from underwriters, sales, marketing into agent specifications.
• Evaluate agent quality with test sets, monitor accuracy, drift and hallucinations.
