Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced engineer to design, build and operate agentic AI applications on Microsoft Azure for clients across regulated sectors. You will lead delivery from design through production, mentoring peers and collaborating with architects, product owners and stakeholders.

The role involves delivering production-grade AI services, integrating with Azure Foundry, OpenAI, Azure AI Search and related services, and implementing guardrails, governance and data privacy controls in

Qualifications

• Production experience building LLM-based applications on Azure that went live and were supported, not just demos.
• Strong production coding in Python and/or C#/.NET, including API/backend service integration.
• Practical depth in retrieval-augmented generation: chunking, embedding, retrieval tuning, and evaluating groundedness.
• Client-facing delivery experience, able to explain trade-offs to non-engineers.
• Breadth across agent orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen).
• Judgement on model landscape: proprietary vs open-weight models considering cost, latency, quality.
• Multi-agent systems and tool-calling and function-calling patterns.
• Containerisation and orchestration for AI workloads at scale (Docker, AKS).
• Vector search at scale (Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB vector search).
• LLMOps and MLOps tooling and automated evaluation harnesses.
• Data privacy, security and compliance for AI systems, including GDPR considerations.
• Delivery in regulated and high-governance environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and provide technical leadership, turning business problems into agentic AI designs.
• Own solutions across the full lifecycle from design through production support.
• Explain technical trade-offs and AI risk and value to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and pair with less experienced colleagues.
• Build and deploy agentic AI apps and multi-agent systems on Azure with Foundry and Microsoft AI Services.
• Develop production-grade AI-enabled services and APIs in Python and C#/.NET.
• Apply prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation and agent orchestration techniques.
• Implement guardrails, content safety, evaluation, monitoring and governance for outputs.
• Integrate with Azure-native services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support LLMops practices: versioning, evaluation, deployment pipelines and observability.
