Job summary

Pentagon Group is seeking enthusiastic individuals to start an Automotive Parts Apprenticeship in our Parts Department. You will receive full in-house and manufacturer training to develop into a qualified Parts Advisor and complete an NVQ/City & Guilds qualification.

You will learn stock control, order parts, assist customers and work with multiple departments while building your apprenticeship portfolio. Regular meetings with the Apprenticeship Provider support your progress.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in the Motor trade.
• Minimum grade C/4 in English and Maths.
• Good IT skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute daily to the Parts Department.
• Assist with stock checking and parts picking for delivery.
• Answer telephone enquiries and help customers in person.
• Build a portfolio to complete the Trade parts Apprenticeship.

What Will You Be Doing?

Your apprenticeship with Pentagon, will be diverse, fast paced, with no two days being the same. As well as having regular meetings with your Apprenticeship provider and completing your course work, you will also be a fully fledged member of our Parts Department.You will be learning and contributing every day to the department, picking parts for delivery, stock checking, answering the telephone and being the very best Parts Advisor that you can be. By doing this, you will also be building your portfolio to complete your Trade parts Apprenticeship.

Part of your duties will include:

• Meeting & greeting customers both face to face and over the telephone
• Liaising with the Workshop and other departments
• Stock control and ordering of parts
• Using both internal and external computer systems
• Achieving pre-defined targets for upselling various Aftersales products & services
• Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service in line with Group and Manufacturer standards.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm.

Who Are We Looking for?

As an Apprentice with the Pentagon Group, you will need to:

• Have a genuine, keen interest in the Motor trade
• Be self motivated with bags of enthusiasm
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships.
• Be able to follow instructions and processes and show excellent attention to detail
• Have good IT skills
• Possess a team player mentality
• A minimum grade C / 4 in English and Maths and preferably in a Science based subject.
