Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Birmingham WHSmith operation to lead a shift of warehouse operatives, driving performance, safety, and quality in inbound or outbound flows.

The role is full-time and permanent, working the afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm), five days out of seven. You will guide teams, develop staff, and ensure excellent service for the customer while complying with all processes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to coach colleagues to hit performance targets.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of warehouse operatives to achieve productivity, quality and service targets.
• Ensure departmental compliance with health & safety procedures, policies and standards.
• Carry out quality checks and monitor performance to meet customer requirements.
• Support Shift Managers with continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning.
• Use warehouse management systems and data to drive efficiency and service delivery.
