Job summary

GXO Bromford Gate in Birmingham seeks an experienced Shift Manager to lead the afternoon shift, drive engagement and coach frontline teams. You will own day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while delivering customer service targets and business goals.

The role is full-time and permanent, working Monday to Friday, 16:00–01:00, reporting to the Operations Manager. Competitive salary up to £38,000 plus shift premium and a comprehensive benefits package are

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse shift management experience within a logistics, supply chain or distribution environment.
• Strong people management and leadership capability, with experience developing teams and managing performance.
• Good commercial awareness with the ability to understand operational costs, productivity drivers and customer expectations.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications, ideally including BlueYonder.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our Bromford Gate operation in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 16:00 – 01:00, where you'll be responsible for leading warehouse operations, developing high-performing teams and ensuring operational, customer and business objectives are consistently achieved. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on colleague wellbeing, health and safety and continuous improvement.
