Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is recruiting a reliable School Cleaner to join a school in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham. The role is part-time (10 hours per week) with a start date ASAP and a temporary/ongoing contract.

You will be responsible for cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas, ensuring a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff. The position requires a careful, responsible approach around children and adherence to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Experience cleaning (school/education setting is desirable).
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
• Professional and responsible when around children and young people.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets and other facilities
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Cleaning desks, surfaces and other high-touch areas
• Replenishing cleaning products and consumables as required
• Following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures
• Using cleaning equipment safely and appropriately
• Reporting maintenance, damage or safety concerns
• Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
