Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Birmingham B12 is hiring a part-time Primary School Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. The role runs 3:30pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a rate of £17 per hour.

You will clean classrooms, corridors, offices and toilets, empty bins and dispose of waste, follow school health and safety procedures, and report maintenance issues to the appropriate staff to keep the school hygienic.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Experience in a school or similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage cleaning duties effectively.
• Professional and responsible approach to working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties throughout the school.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Clean and maintain toilets and other facilities.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Ensure cleaning standards are maintained throughout the school.
• Follow school health and safety and cleaning procedures.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Report any maintenance or cleaning issues to the relevant member of staff.
• Help ensure the school remains a clean, hygienic and safe environment for pupils and staff.
