Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd in Ilkeston is seeking Production Operatives for a full-time afternoon shift (2pm–10pm), Monday to Friday, with a temp-to-perm assignment and immediate start. You will handle pallets, assist with packaging, perform stock counts, and help maintain quality and safety in a dynamic production environment.

The role requires physical robustness, good organizational skills, and teamwork. Training will cover safety protocols and efficient production practices.

Qualifications

• Physical role requiring manual handling and lifting.
• Experience with manual handling or pallet stacking preferred.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail for stock counting and product handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely move pallets of products within the facility.
• Perform manual handling of materials including lifting, stacking and carrying items.
• Assemble and prepare boxes for packaging and distribution.
• Put items into boxes according to guidelines and ensure accuracy.
• Stack pallets and organize materials in a safe, orderly manner.
• Conduct stock counting to maintain inventory levels.
• Inspect products to ensure quality control standards are met.
• Assist with general production and stockroom organization.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
