Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial has an immediate opening for a Production Operative on an afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm. This temp-to-perm role involves moving pallets, packing, stock counting, and quality checks in a busy production environment.

You will work as part of a team, handling materials safely and efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to health and safety guidelines. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Physically demanding role with manual handling
• Experience with pallet stacking or similar tasks preferred
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail for accurate handling and stock counting
• Ability to follow safety protocols and keep workspace clean
• Effective teamwork and communication with colleagues
• Willingness to learn and contribute to process improvements

Responsibilities

• Move pallets within the facility using manual handling and/or equipment
• Assemble boxes and prepare packaging
• Box items according to detailed instructions and ensure accuracy
• Inspect products for damage or defects and report issues
• Conduct stock counting to maintain inventory levels
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with general production and stockroom tasks
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
