Job description

Up to £50,000 basic (Dependant on experience) + bonus + site/travel allowances

Damper Technology Ltd is looking for an experienced engineering professional to take a leading role within our established Aftermarket business, supporting major industrial customers across the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Service Manager or an ambitious Senior/Lead Service Engineer, Service Supervisor or Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step into management. You don’t need previous experience of industrial dampers. We’re more interested in finding someone with strong industrial engineering and site experience, sound commercial judgement and the ability to lead people, projects and customer relationships.

The Opportunity

You’ll take responsibility for coordinating and developing our aftermarket service activities, leading a specialist team delivering inspection, maintenance, repair, upgrade and retrofit projects on industrial sites in the UK and overseas.

It’s a varied role combining engineering, people management, project delivery and customer contact. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their requirements, develop technical and commercial solutions, prepare quotations and ensure projects are delivered safely, successfully and profitably.

The position is predominantly based at our Eastwood office, with occasional UK and international travel to customer sites. You’ll need to undertake the pre‑requisite (BOSIET) training for travel offshore where this is required.

What we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in people with experience in industrial field service, mechanical engineering, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, process equipment, valves and actuators, pumps, fans, combustion equipment or similar engineered products.

You may already be a Service Manager – but equally, you could be an experienced Senior Service Engineer, Lead Engineer, Service Supervisor or Project Engineer looking to move away from a predominantly hands‑on role and take the next step into engineering management.

Qualifications:

  • ONC / Level 3 Qualification (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive basic salary of up to £50,000, dependent on experience
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Additional allowances for qualifying site and overseas assignments
  • Company pension and benefits
  • Opportunities for international travel
  • Long-term career development within an established international engineering group
