Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an energetic After School Club Assistant to support a busy primary school in Coventry. This is a casual, part-time agency role with after-school hours from 3pm to 6pm.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, have 6+ months of experience with primary-aged children, and be able to provide two recent employer references. A DBS via the Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain a new check.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Has 6+ months experience working in a primary school or with primary-aged children.
• Available to commit to 3pm–6pm on working days.
• Can provide two recent employer references.
• DBS via Update Service preferred or willing to obtain a new DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support the school’s After School Club from 3pm to 6pm, helping to set up activities and supervise pupils.
• Encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun end-of-day environment.
• Engage with children to support their activities and behaviour in a warm, proactive way.
• Maintain a positive, child-focused approach throughout shifts.

This is a casual/part-time agency role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants consistent after-school hours that fit around the rest of their day.

You ll be supporting the school s After School Club from 3pm to 6pm (essential hours), helping to set up activities, supervise pupils, encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun environment at the end of the school day.

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Has 6+ months experience working in a primary school or with primary-aged children
• Is able to commit to 3pm to 6pm on working days
• Can provide two recent employer references
• Has a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new DBS check
• Brings a warm, proactive and child-focused approach
