Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to support a busy primary school in Coventry. The role is casual/part-time with after-school hours from 3pm to 6pm, offering flexibility to fit around other commitments.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning and at least 6 months of relevant experience, with references and a DBS update or willingness to obtain one. A warm, child-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Has 6+ months experience working in a primary school or with primary-aged children.
• Is able to commit to 3pm to 6pm on working days.
• Can provide two recent employer references.
• Has a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new DBS check.
• Brings a warm, proactive and child-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the After School Club from 3pm to 6pm, assisting with activities.
• Help set up activities and supervise pupils.
• Encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun environment.
