Job summary

Wantage Church of England Primary School is seeking a warm, organised after-school supervisor for 15 hours 30 minutes per week, Mon-Thu 3:00 pm–6:15 pm and Fri 3:00 pm–5:30 pm. You will oversee wraparound care, Safeguard children, maintain registers, plan activities, and support staff in creating a safe, nurturing environment.

Relevant childcare qualification, paediatric first-aid and food hygiene training are desirable; interview may discuss potential discounts for families.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or caring for children.
• Ability to lead a team and oversee day-to-day running.
• Good communication and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the after-school wraparound care provision.
• Safeguard children and follow school procedures.
• Maintain registers and ensure safe collection by authorised adults.
• Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities.
• Support positive behaviour and follow hygiene and safety policies.
• Supervise meals and snacks and keep rooms safe and organized.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents and staff.
• Respond to accidents and report them per procedures.
