Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a Project Engineering Lead to head a multidisciplinary team delivering AESA radar projects and associated power system developments. You will lead engineering across the core delivery and power teams, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality compliance.

You will provide engineering leadership, drive lifecycle reviews, manage stakeholders, and ensure best-value solutions while meeting safety and contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, developing and testing RF/electronic and power systems.
• Familiar with engineering lifecycle processes and business processes.
• Ability to produce clear engineering documentation and communicate effectively.
• Strong schedule and budget control.

Responsibilities

• Produce effective plans to deliver solutions with stakeholders.
• Implement lifecycle management processes including design & gate reviews.
• Agree qualification criteria and design certification with the System Design Authority.
• Deliver engineering aspects of Project Performance Reviews.
• Promote reuse and modularity across engineering lifecycle.
• Maintain communications across the Engineering IPT and senior management.
• Support supplier management and make/buy decisions.
• Control project configuration and change management.
• Resolve technical or programme conflicts with the team.
