You will provide engineering leadership, drive lifecycle reviews, manage stakeholders, and ensure best-value solutions while meeting safety and contractual standards.
Are you looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead a skilled team in a time of significant growth in an AESA Radar sector, based in our Edinburgh office?
Leonardo has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineering Lead (PEL) to join the engineering team and drive the development and delivery of next-generation products and radar systems. The role will be responsible for developments that span the AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) Core Delivery Team (CDT) and Power Systems CDT. This is an opportunity to work on an exciting and growing large-scale project. This role will be based at our Edinburgh Site and you will be joining a team with a rich heritage in Engineering, as part of Leonardo’s 100 years’ experience of pioneering development.

The PEL is responsible for providing engineering leadership to a multi-disciplinary engineering team throughout the project lifecycle to deliver the project’s plan on time, in budget and to quality standards. This will include ensuring that lifecycle reviews are held, that reporting mechanisms are in place, that a high level of motivation is maintained within the team and ensuring a consistently high level of performance is achieved by the team. The successful candidate will ensure the engineering team delivers the “best value” solution compliant with the customer's technical and budgetary requirements as well as all contractual, safety and legislative standards.
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
