Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a Production Test Engineer to join the Operations team. You will perform test and fault diagnosis on complex aerospace & defence systems, including RF testing, vibration and thermal testing, and ensure adherence to test specifications and safety standards.

You will work with Systems and Electronics engineers to solve integration problems, contribute to development methodologies, and perform on-the-job training as needed.

Qualifications

• Test & fault diagnosis of complex system level products in aerospace & defence manufacturing
• Fault diagnosis to component level
• RF testing
• Identify solutions to test equipment and test method shortcomings
• Interpretation of test specifications and drawings
• Electrical Safety Testing
• Product Acceptance Testing
• Vibration & Thermal testing
• Safety practices when integrating or aligning electro-mechanical devices

Responsibilities

• Test & fault diagnose complex system level products in aerospace & defence environments
• Carry out fault diagnosis to component level
• Perform RF testing on subsystems and assemblies
• Interpret test specifications and technical drawings
• Conduct vibration and thermal testing as required
• Maintain effective communication with Project/Quality/Engineering teams
• Contribute to test method improvements and documentation
