Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Test Solution Design Engineer to design, develop and integrate advanced test solutions for defence and aerospace projects in the UK. Based in Edinburgh, you will contribute to radar programmes and broader defence capabilities, working within a collaborative Test Engineering community.

You will design hardware solutions across the full lifecycle, produce detailed documentation, and mentor engineers while embracing a hybrid working model and security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• Experience across the full design life-cycle.
• Experience working with electronics hardware.
• Experience working with Test solutions.
• Experience with integration, verification and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and delivery of test solutions within a defined work package area.
• Capture, analyse and mature stakeholder needs to determine the optimum technical approach.
• Design and development of electronic hardware solutions across the full design lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality design documentation and reports with configuration control.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with programme elements.
• Contribute to resolving technical issues and mitigate risks with robust solutions.
• Develop, coach and upskill engineers within the broader team.
