Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced Test Solution Design Engineer at our Edinburgh site to design, develop and integrate advanced test solutions for defence and aerospace projects across radar programmes and related platforms. The role involves delivering hardware solutions through the full design lifecycle, with emphasis on verification, qualification, and stakeholder collaboration.

• Experience working across the full design life-cycle.
• Experience working with electronics hardware.
• Experience working with Test solutions.
• Experience with integration, verification and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and delivery of test solutions within a defined work package area, ensuring the solution meets stakeholder requirements across performance, cost and schedule.
• Capture, analyse and mature stakeholder needs to determine the optimum technical approach.
• Design and development of electronic hardware solutions across the full design lifecycle, from concept to integration and qualification.
• Produce high-quality design documentation and technical reports with configuration control.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment within the programme.
• Contribute to resolving technical issues by proposing robust solutions and identifying risks.
• Develop, coach and upskill engineers within the wider engineering community.
