Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Test Solution Design Engineer to join our Edinburgh-based Test Engineering community. You will design, develop and integrate advanced electronic test solutions for radar programmes and wider defence capabilities.

The role covers the full design lifecycle, collaboration with stakeholders, and mentoring engineers, with hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing electronic test solutions across the full design lifecycle.
• Experience with electronics hardware and test solutions.
• Experience with integration, verification and qualification.
• Open to candidates not having all experience; attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and delivery of test solutions within a defined work package area.
• Capture and mature stakeholder needs to determine the optimal technical approach.
• Design and develop electronic hardware across concept to qualification.
• Produce design documentation and reports with configuration control.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for architectural alignment.
• Develop and coach engineers within the wider engineering community.
