Job summary
QinetiQ Group plc is seeking a Technical Author to produce high-quality publications for installation, operation, maintenance and removal of equipment at the Boscombe Down site. You will ensure documentation meets MAA/MAM, CAA and iSpec 2200 standards and support internal/external customers.
The role requires aircraft/mechanical engineering background, advanced Word/FrameMaker, S1000D tools and CSDB experience. UK security vetting applies and site attendance is required.
Qualifications
- Qualified aircraft engineer or mechanical engineer or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of aircraft equipment, systems and documentation.
- Advanced MS Word and Adobe FrameMaker skills.
- Experience with S1000D authoring tools and CSDB.
- Graphics package knowledge (CorelDraw) and relevant engineering background.
Responsibilities
- Provision high-quality publications for installation, operation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with MAA MAM-P/MAM-D and CAA S1000D and iSpec 2200 standards.
- Plan and prioritise own work to meet customer requirements.
- Assess regulatory compliance for airworthiness and documentation standards.
