Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Amesbury (Boscombe Down) site. You will provide systems engineering support across aerospace projects, leading small projects and applying correct processes, methods and tools to meet customer requirements.

The role focuses on integration of aerospace technologies, from avionic systems to flight performance, with travel to other QinetiQ sites as needed and eligibility for SC clearance required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general Systems Engineering principles.
• Aerospace or related engineering background.
• Technical experience throughout the air vehicle life cycle.
• Knowledge of aircraft certification and systems design.
• Ability to make sound judgements on technical solutions.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver integrated technical activities to contracted time, cost and quality.
• Coordinate integration of engineering outputs to meet overall project objectives.
• Ensure consistency of technical processes, methods and tools per QinetiQ BMS.
• Assist with bids, Technical Delivery Plans and work breakdown structures.
• Identify and manage project technical risks with the Project Manager.
• Capture and analyse customer requirements.
