Job summary

Hyde Group, a leading aerospace engineering supplier, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance across fabrication, welding and non-destructive testing at our Dukinfield site. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and focuses on maintaining AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ensuring right-first-time delivery.

You will lead audits, drive CAPA, and support NPI from a quality perspective while collaborating with engineering, production and supply chain teams to uphold customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in aerospace fabrication or welding.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Experience with FAIRs, PPAP, RCCA, and audits.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and improvement skills (Lean/Six Sigma desirable).

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for quality across fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Lead internal and supplier audits and close non-conformances.
• Manage FAIRs, PPAP, APQP and other aerospace deliverables.
• Oversee supplier quality performance and corrective actions.
• Drive root cause analysis and CAPA (8D, 5-Whys, Ishikawa).
• Support NPI from a quality standpoint and risk mitigation.
