Job summary

Eaton MSD Cheltenham is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join the Quality Management Function. You will oversee a team of quality professionals, plan audits, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain AS9100 and customer requirements.

The role involves coordinating with external audits, supporting QMS improvements, and ensuring shop floor inspection routines are effective. A background in aerospace quality and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Quality Auditor training.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, EASA Part 21, Part 145).
• Knowledge of FOD and counterfeit avoidance practices.
• Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) software and process mapping.

Responsibilities

• Manage professionals in a defined area of Eaton.
• Develop plans for their team to ensure optimum use of time and resources.
• Plan and carry out a schedule of audits and assessments with documentation per QMS.
• Lead investigations from quality issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage completion and effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive actions.
