Job summary

Hyde Group in Dukinfield, Cheshire, seeks a Quality Engineer to join the quality team in its sheet metal and assembly division. You will investigate non-conformances, analyse quality data and drive improvements across the manufacturing processes.

The role requires at least 3 years in quality engineering in manufacturing, preferably aerospace, with knowledge of QMS/IMS, AS9100, APQP/PPAP, and experience with inspection methods. IT literacy including SAP, Excel, PowerPoint is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications to confirm conformance.
• Experience with aerospace/defence standards and QMS/IMS.
• Familiarity with non-conformance/MRB and concession raising.
• Knowledge of FAIR and FAIR preparation (AS9100).
• Experience with APQP/PPAP and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to non-conformances.
• Analyse quality data and drive improvements with colleagues.
• Develop and maintain standard work sheets; drive continuous improvement.
• Assist Quality Manager with calibration checks and maintaining approvals (ISO14001, Nadcap).
• Carry out internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with other Hyde units, clients and suppliers in the aerospace supply chain.
