Job summary

Ultra Precision Control Systems in Cheltenham is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a small team within the manufacturing function. You will manage holidays, sickness, timekeeping and discipline, and work with the Production Manager to deliver the monthly plan.

You’ll monitor KPI performance, manage labour bookings, maintain a skills matrix, and ensure 6S and FOD compliance, while coordinating with support teams to resolve production issues and safeguard safety.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small production team.
• Self-motivated and well-organised.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of shop floor staff and manage holidays, sickness, timekeeping and discipline.
• Deliver the monthly production plan with the Production Manager.
• Monitor performance with KPIs and adjust staffing.
• Ensure 6S and FOD programs across the area.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Oversee safe use of equipment and overtime planning.
