Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd. seeks a Hot Press Operator for a Welwyn Garden City facility operating nights (10PM-6AM) on a temp-to-perm basis. You will set up and run mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses to manufacture aerospace parts, interpret drawings, inspect components, and maintain accurate production records.

You will adhere to strict aerospace safety standards, troubleshoot when needed, and contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to SOPs.
• Experience with press machinery or CNC/hydraulic presses is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses for aerospace parts.
• Interpret drawings and job orders to determine press requirements.
• Inspect materials and finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of press equipment.
• Maintain production records including logs and inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace safety standards and handling of materials.
