Job summary

Bromford Industries Limited is seeking a Setter/Operator Press for a permanent role in its Manufacturing Department. The role involves late shifts (39 hours a week) and requires experience in machine setting and press operation.

Responsibilities include setting up presses, following Job Cards, ensuring quality conformance, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in aerospace/engineering/manufacturing involving machine setting and operating is desirable.
• Familiar with quality and manufacturing standards and achieving targets.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Takes full ownership of their area of responsibility.
• Disciplined and self-motivated.
• Strong teamwork and supportive mentality.

Responsibilities

• Set up presses with required work holding and tooling per procedures.
• Understand setup parameters (tool height, stroke, tonnage, dwell, lubrication) and effect on process.
• Use air and hand tools safely; operate presses as per Job Card instructions.
• Complete press operations efficiently to meet output targets.
• Follow 5S, environmental, health and safety requirements and document accordingly.
• Record TPM activities and maintain documentation and WIP in the MRP system.
• Support continuous improvement activities to maximise efficiency.
