Job summary

Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support aerospace cabin interior activities. You will design 3D harnesses and electrical installations, create CATIA V5 models, and participate in design reviews throughout NPI.

You will communicate with customers, suppliers and OEMs to ensure proper integration of all design elements. You will work in a hybrid setup with time in Cwmbran and from home, applying tolerances and manufacturing knowledge to deliver

Qualifications

Experience using Catia V5, Microsoft Visio software packages or equivalent.
Experience using Catia V5 Sheetmetal workbenches.
Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes, OEM installation requirements.

Responsibilities

3D harness design, electrical schematics and block diagrams.
Design Sheet brackets for Electrical Installation.
Design and integration of electrical systems within aircraft seats.
Generate 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
Participate in Design Reviews during the New Product Introduction process.
Communicate with customers, suppliers & OEMs daily.
Ensure integration of design elements within the product.
Support product validation through prototyping and testing.
