Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support aerospace cabin interior activities. You will design 3D harnesses and electrical installations, create CATIA V5 models, and participate in design reviews throughout NPI.

You will communicate with customers, suppliers and OEMs to ensure proper integration of all design elements. You will work in a hybrid setup with time in Cwmbran and from home, applying tolerances and manufacturing knowledge to deliver

Qualifikationen

• Experience using Catia V5, Microsoft Visio software packages or equivalent.
• Experience using Catia V5 Sheetmetal workbenches.
• Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes, OEM installation requirements.

In order to develop and expand the capabilities of Safran Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Mechatronics Engineer to support developments of Aerospace Cabin interior activities.

Key Responsibilities

• 3D harness design, electrical schematics and block diagrams.
• Responsible to design the Sheet brackets required for Electrical Installation.
• Responsible for the design and integration of electrical systems within aircraft seats to comply with company, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Generating 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
• Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process.
• Design engineers will be expected to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers & OEM's.
• Ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product as a whole.
• Participate in the validation of the product (using such methods as prototyping, test, etc).
• Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines.
• From time to time, Design engineers must be prepared to undertake tasks outside of their normal duties as requested by their immediate supervisors.

• Understanding of the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, as well as OEM installation requirements.
• A working knowledge of the main methods of manufacture sheet metal fabrication

• An ability to read mechanical & electrical design drawings and specifications
• Good communicator liaising with customers/airframers/suppliers and integrated programme team on a daily basis.

• 185 hours holiday per year plus statutory bank holidays
