Job summary

Safran in the United Kingdom (Wales, Cwmbran) seeks an experienced engineering professional to support aerospace product development and assembly processes. You will verify parts against drawings, participate in design reviews, and drive improvements across design and manufacturing stages.

Responsibilities include using CAD models to assess designs, logging 5C issues, and developing articles for production. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness and process integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/automotive manufacturing within a regulated environment.
• Understanding of drawing, design data and specifications.
• Knowledge of assembly/manufacture principles and materials used.

Responsibilities

• Check parts and assemblies for compliance to drawings, data and specs.
• Represent department in product design reviews and provide feedback.
• Analyse product design using CAD models and log issues per 5C process.
• Identify opportunities to improve assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Build development articles from CAD model screen grabs and instructions.
• Log issues from development article builds and define countermeasures.
