Job summary

Safran in the United Kingdom (Wales) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive new product introductions and ensure designs meet manufacturing and assembly requirements. You will work closely with design engineering, operations, and after-market teams to deliver requests and support production on average-complex projects.

Essential qualifications include a B.Eng. or HND via apprenticeship and at least two years in aerospace/automotive manufacturing, with familiarity in CAD tools like CATIA

Qualifications

• B.Eng. in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering OR HND gained through an apprenticeship.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly principles.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Interrogation of 3D CAD modelling software.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings.
• Experience of working within company and regulatory processes, standards and specifications.
• CATIA 3D CAD modelling software.
• Understanding of aircraft certification process.
• Aircraft seat manufacture.
