ALTEN in Loughborough is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our aerospace-focused team. You will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, create detailed models and drawings, and support from concept through to production.

The role suits a junior to mid-level engineer (2–5 years) with aerospace experience and a strong eye for manufacturability, DFm, and documentation.

Qualificações

• Aerospace industry experience is mandatory.
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience using SolidWorks in a professional engineering environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support product development activities from concept, prototyping, and testing through to production.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Participate in design reviews and implement engineering improvements where required.
• Support prototype build, assembly, and validation activities.
• Manage design changes and maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and deliver project objectives.
