Job summary

Owen Daniels is recruiting an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader in Devon to oversee day-to-day operations, lead production teams, and drive Lean and Continuous Improvement across safety, quality and productivity.

The role requires 3-5+ years in manufacturing, a strong Lean/OPEx background, and a degree in engineering or a related field. You will collaborate with maintenance and engineering to maximise performance in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience in Manufacturing/Operations.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with manufacturing KPIs and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related discipline preferred.
• Aerospace, automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and production teams.
• Manage resources and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Improve key KPIs including On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield and productivity.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching and engagement.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Implement Lean tools including 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Visual Management.
• Lead structured problem-solving and process improvement activities.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and other functions to maximise operational performance.
