Job summary

Owen Daniels in Coventry is seeking a HeadofQuality to lead the Quality function at site level, directing 12 direct reports and partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to drive quality performance, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will maintain and develop the Quality Management System to align with aerospace standards and customer requirements, embedding a culture where quality matters on every shop floor.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a quality function in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience building and mentoring teams.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100/AS9110 and aerospace regulations.
• Experience with QMS, audits, CAPA and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with quality tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP and 8D.
• Experience of project and change management.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Operate credibly at Senior Leadership Team level while engaging shop floor.
• Engineering degree; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt; AS9100 Lead Auditor a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of Quality professionals, building capability and a high-performing function.
• Own and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System for aerospace and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to SLT decisions, driving quality into operations and manufacturing.
• Lead internal and external audits, corrective actions and non-conformance management.
• Drive continuous improvement using structured problem solving and Lean techniques.
• Monitor key quality metrics like customer satisfaction and PoQ.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and customers to prevent recurrence.
• Translate divisional objectives into measurable site improvements.
