Magellan Aerospace Limited in Llay Wrexham seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support machining, metal treatments and assembly processes. The role focuses on developing, implementing and continuously improving manufacturing methods, tooling and process documentation to ensure safe, efficient and repeatable production.
You will collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering, supporting NPI and delivering improvements in quality, cost and delivery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, with aerospace industrialisation experience.
Responsabilités
- Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Production and resolve issues.
- Support machining, treatment and assembly processes to meet specs.
- Create and update SOPs, process routes and docs.
- Produce CAD models, drawings and tooling designs to support production.
- Support NPI activities including planning and risk assessment.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce cycle times, scrap and costs.
- Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
- Lead multiple projects focusing on Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- Design tooling, fixtures and jigs to improve process capability and safety.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop tooling and reduce costs.
