Job summary

Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for a full-time permanent position at a unionised site. The role focuses on day-to-day management and continuous improvement of manufacturing quality performance within designated production units.

The job involves close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Inspection and Quality Assurance to ensure product and process compliance, with a broad remit covering PFMEA, APQP, audits and NCR/8D activities.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree in engineering or related technical subject.
• Experience with aerospace quality requirements.
• NADCAP knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse non-conformance data for quality improvements.
• Lead and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection stamps and related documentation.
• Attend MRB meetings and support NCR/8D investigations.
• Collate scrap/quarantine data and identify trends to reduce waste.
• Set up containment audits and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate FAIR/AS9102 activities and ensure complete FAIR documentation.
