Job summary

Safran Helicopter Engines UK seeks a skilled Machinist to join our New Production team. You will perform precision machining on aerospace components in line with OEM manuals and engineering specs, delivering quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have proven experience in precision machining, measuring with precision equipment, interpreting specifications, and maintaining high standards of health and safety while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in precision machining processes.
• Experience measuring and inspecting components with precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate single-/double-sided lapping machines per work instructions and OEM standards.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure specifications and quality.
• Maintain production targets for quality, utilisation, and on-time delivery.
• Support manufacturing activities across production areas as required.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and company procedures.
