Job summary

Safran Nacelles is seeking skilled Fitters to join our Burnley manufacturing team. You will work on a production line assembling aircraft components to exact specifications, performing drilling, riveting, and fitting operations to tight tolerances while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

Working from engineering drawings and master layouts, you will contribute to timely delivery of world-class aerospace products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Engineering, Sheet Metal, or related discipline.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong practical skills using hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Experience with drilling, riveting, cutting, and assembly activities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft components in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out drilling, riveting, cutting, and fitting operations to fine tolerances.
• Install aerospace fasteners and rivets to a high standard.
• Produce quality work that meets engineering definitions and customer requirements.
• Follow manufacturing processes, specifications, and master layouts.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and workplace organisation standards.
• Work safely and identify and elevate any product or safety concerns.
• Contribute to achieving production and delivery targets.
