Job summary

Safran Helicopter Engines UK is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our New Production team. The successful candidate will perform precision lapping operations on aerospace components in accordance with OEM manuals, engineering specifications, and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in milling/CNC/grinding or similar.
• Experience measuring components with precision equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good understanding of health and safety in manufacturing.
• Able to work effectively in a team while meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate single-sided and double-sided lapping machines in line with work instructions and OEM standards.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain production targets for quality, utilisation, and on-time delivery.
• Support manufacturing activities across production areas as required.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and company procedures.
• Demonstrate company values and contribute positively to team objectives.
