Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is recruiting a CNC Machinist to manufacture critical aerospace components with high precision on modern 6-axis equipment. You will set up, run and adjust milling and turning operations, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in Machining, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• NVQ Level 3 minimum.
• Knowledge of machining principles and NC fundamentals.
• Ability to read drawings and layouts.
• Siemens 840D control experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and NC machining equipment.
• Manufacture precision aerospace components to drawings and specs.
• Carry out machine set-ups and tool changes.
• Maintain high quality standards and support continuous improvement.
• Work safely within a structured manufacturing environment.
• Contribute to delivering products used across aerospace programmes.
