Job summary

Confidential is a global manufacturer of precision components seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join the team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on coordinating freight, shipping and transport operations while ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

You will collate production, inspection and test information, manage export controls, and work with external freight providers to optimise costs. Weekend support at month end and occasional overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to work to budgetary constraints.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Experience with quality auditing and export compliance desirable.
• Strong organisation and time-management; able to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day freight, shipping and transport operations.
• Collate and maintain production, inspection and test information.
• Coordinate test rings and record results.
• Prepare, check and control all shipping and export documentation.
• Ensure compliance with export control and customs requirements.
• Support weekend working at month end and overtime as needed.
• Prepare metallographic samples after training.
• Liaise with shipping providers to optimise container and transport efficiency.
• Maintain certification, shipping and export documentation.
• Monitor shipping budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
