Job summary

OpenWorks Engineering LTD. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day inbound and outbound shipments, both domestic and international, while supporting export licensing and compliance in a fast-growing defence engineering business.

You will coordinate ATA Carnets, dangerous goods, and liaise with freight forwarders, couriers and customs brokers to keep deliveries on schedule. This role suits detail-oriented, proactive professionals in the North East England region.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics shipping or export coordination.
• Familiarity with international shipping processes and Incoterms.
• Strong documentation and records management.
• Experience with export licensing systems is desirable.
• Experience in defence, engineering, manufacturing is advantageous.
• Specialist knowledge of ATA Carnets and dangerous goods is desirable.
• Proactive, dependable and accountable with a calm problem-solving approach.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day inbound and outbound shipments domestically and internationally.
• Prepare shipping and export documentation.
• Support export licensing and maintain licensing records.
• Coordinate temporary movements with ATA Carnets.
• Handle dangerous goods shipments.
• Track shipments and resolve issues to keep deliveries on schedule.
• Maintain audit-ready records.
• Identify process improvements in logistics, shipping and export compliance.
