Job summary

Morson Talent is recruiting skilled fabricators for an initial 12-month contract with GKN Aerospace at their Filton site (BS34 9AU). The role requires an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 with certificates provided, and experience with thin plate materials (3mm and under).

You will work with hand, electrical and pneumatic tools and bending machines to shape, form and assemble metal parts to drawing limits. Responsibilities include reading drawings, using jigs, swaging, and measuring tools, while

Qualifications

Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (Certificates must be provided).
Experience with thin plate materials 3mm and less.
Previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment.
Ability to understand technical drawings/limits.
Team-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

Shape, form and assemble metal products within drawing limits using hand, electrical and pneumatic tools and bending machines.
Use jigs to assemble parts made from stainless steel, titanium or aluminium.
Swaging and measuring machinery and jigs.
Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis.
Ensure calibrations are within date and keep to quality procedures (ISO 9001, AS/EN9100).
Use SAP to manage workflow and timely clearance of work phases.
Highlight non-conformances to the Process Team Leader and maintain housekeeping.
