Job summary

Morson Group is exclusively recruiting Skilled Fabricators for an initial 12 month contract at GKN Aerospace, Filton (BS34 9AU). The role requires an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 with certificates. Rates include £20.17/hr days and £25.21/hr day shift, with overtime paid at £30.26/hr (and £31.50/hr with stamp).

Travel allowances apply for distant candidates. Experience with stainless steel, titanium or aluminium and reading technical drawings is valued.

Qualifications

• A recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 with certificates is required.
• Experience with thin plate materials 3mm and less is desirable.
• Previous manufacturing/fabrication shop floor exposure is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with metals up to 3 mm thick and ensure right first time output.
• Produce parts using jigs for stainless steel, titanium or aluminium.
• Ensure calibrated equipment is within date and compliant with procedures.
• Highlight non-conformances to the Process Team Leader and follow GKNAF quality procedures.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety responsibilities under HASAWA 1974.
