Job summary

Morson Talent is recruiting CNC Machinists for a night-shift role with GKN Aerospace at the Filton site near Bristol. The initial contract is six months, with a strong likelihood of extension to a rolling/permanent arrangement.

You will set, operate and inspect aircraft components on 4- and 5-axis CNC mills, using Siemens 840D controls and Renishaw probing. Applicants must have Level 3 qualifications or an apprenticeship with proof of certificates.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent (NVQ Level 3) or City & Guilds Level 3 or higher.
• Proof of Level 3 qualifications/certificates required.
• EU certs accepted with English translation where applicable.
• Experience in loading and setting fixtures and tooling in CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and inspect aircraft components on 4- and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Manufacture and measure to engineering drawings with high tolerances.
• Use Renishaw probing and cutter setting equipment.
• Ensure quality systems and safe working practices are followed.
