Job summary

GE Aerospace offers a 12-month Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering placement, gaining hands-on experience across teams in design, maintenance, and test specifications for jet engines. You’ll engage in engine work scoping, tooling development, repair industrialization, and cost optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will develop expertise in gas turbine fundamentals, engine architecture, and shop production methods, with structured training and mentoring

Qualifications

• Currently studying an Engineering related Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree.
• On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
• penultimate year of study returning to education post placement

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across teams in design, maintenance, and optimization of advanced jet engines.
• Engage in engine work scoping, tooling development, repair industrialization, cost optimization, and customer support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply lean principles.
• Develop technical expertise in gas turbine fundamentals, engine architecture, and shop production methods.
