Job summary

GE Aerospace is offering a 12-month Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering placement in the UK, based in Cardiff and Caledonian sites. You will gain hands-on experience across engine design, maintenance and test specification definition, under the guidance of a People Leader and team.

This opportunity targets students in engineering, with a 2:1 or above, returning to studies after the placement and exposed to lean practices, tooling development and customer support activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Engineering-related Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree.
• On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
• Penultimate year and returning to education after placement.

Responsibilities

• Assist across design, maintenance and optimization activities for aerospace engines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and develop technical skills.
• Contribute to project goals with structured mentoring and clear objectives.
