Job summary

GE Aerospace offers a 12-month Software Engineering Placement across Bristol and Cheltenham, designed to build core skills from design to testing within multidisciplinary teams. You’ll work on projects using Java, C, C++, C#, Python, and microcontroller platforms such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino.

You’ll engage with customers and vendors and contribute to the full development lifecycle. This placement targets students in Computer Science or related degrees, pursuing a 2:1 and a penultimate year,

Qualifications

• Currently studying a Computer Science/Web Development/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science/Mathematics/Human-Computer Interaction/Embedded Software or related Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s Degree
• On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above
• Penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team across development life cycle
• Develop programming skills with languages listed (Java, C, C++, C#, Python) and platforms like Raspberry Pi/Arduino
• Engage with internal/external customers and third-party vendors
• Support configurations, testing, and documentation within projects
